ADVENTURE DAYS
If you're a reasonably experienced diver, ask about our Adventure Days! About once a week, we point Lio Kai III's nose southwest (or sometimes north during whale season), and head several miles offshore, to seek our resident schools of pilot whales and spotted dolphins. Our destination is the area of the 1950 and 1926 lava flows, some 30 miles south of Kailua. From April through November, we usually do a 3-tank dive on Mother Nature's newest architectural masterpieces - bottomless canyons, endless drops, massive pinnacles, stunning arches and swallow-you-up caverns with lots of animals seen nowhere but on these flows. Join our "Older Than Dirt" Club if you were born before 1950. It's quite a feeling to dive on terrain that wasn't there when you were born! On some Adventure Days, we have such incredible whale/dolphin interaction that we do only 2-tanks down there. And, some days in the winter (December-March), we choose to head way up north and combine two outstanding dives with humpback whale watching! It's why we've named it Adventure Day - whatever the sea chooses to send us, we explore and enjoy!
